Family Sponsorship is a Canadian immigration initiative that enables citizens and permanent residents to support their close relatives in immigrating to Canada as permanent residents.

Sponsor Requirements

Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, aged 18 or older.

Sign a financial undertaking agreement, which ranges from 3 to 20 years depending on the relationship.

Must meet income requirements, primarily for parents and grandparents.

Cannot be declared bankrupt, incarcerated, or in arrears on immigration or child support payments.
Application Process

Pay the required fees and submit biometrics (if applicable).

Once approved, your family member receives PR and can come to Canada.
